Event description

You’re invited to a meaningful morning gathering.

Join us over breakfast for open conversations about the current situation in the West Bank, and how we can come together to support and make a difference.

This event is in support of Farkha Children’s Cultural Centre and is presented by Sydney Hearts in Action in partnership with Western Sydney Community Centre.

You’ll hear from:

  • Medical professionals sharing firsthand accounts of the humanitarian challenges

  • A local political perspective on how issues here at home connect to Palestine, and what we can do to advocate for change

  • Volunteers who have been on the ground, speaking to their lived experiences and the urgent needs of communities.

  • Diaspora Palestinians talking about difficulties they face returning home and supporting their families living in the West Bank.

About the Cause
All of Farkha’s recreational and sporting activities for village children have traditionally been organized without a dedicated headquarters, relying only on a football field. The Children’s Cultural Centre was established and is currently being renovated to provide a permanent, stable space for all these activities under one roof, achieving the ultimate goal of developing the capabilities and skills of future generations. We are raising funds to finalise the construction of this project.

Funds raised will help support:

  1. Creating a permanent and stable space for all village children’s activities.

  2. Organizing and developing activities, forming specialized teams in various fields.

  3. Filling free time and integrating children into society in a positive and healthy way.

  4. Developing children’s abilities and contributing to a generation aware of its duties and fulfilling its aspirations.

  5. Discovering and nurturing talents.

  6. Providing psychological relief to children facing the political and economic challenges affecting Palestinian families.

✨ This is a space for listening, learning, asking questions, and finding hope through collective action. Everyone is welcome. ✨
