West Coast Swing Friday Night Event: spotlight

Friday Night spotlight!

The whole evening is an exploration of "performance", and will be invaluable no matter where you are on your dance journey.

Through our forum and practice format we will explore the difficulty so many of us have with dancing in competitions where we are being 'judged'.

How can we best prepare? What intention, positive mindset, or mantra can help? 

How as an audience member can I support those competing/performing?

How can I help to support others on their journey? 

Whether for now or some point in the future this lab will help you to re-frame any anxious triggers that may hijack your dance mojo...

There will be a chance to practice your dance in a cluster of couples, or partner dance spotlights, both open and levelled. 

All dance pairings will be randomly selected *...

After the break we will simulate an event spotlight competition.  Lights, camera, action...

So change into something sparkly and have a ball.

We are offering paired tickets and individual tickets. 

To participate, it is essential you have already attained a strong foundation in the basics of West Coast Swing.

Don't forget to bring something healthy-yummy to share at our refreshment break... + BYO drinks

(as a pair $40 + $2.85 humanitix fee)

7.30-8.00pm-  Group warm up and connect

8.00-9.00pm- Performance Coaching and Practice

9.00- 9.30pm- Refreshments

9.30-10.15pm- Spotlight Performance

10.15-11.45pm- Social Dance
