WEST END DISKO KLUB

A new home for the love of dance music.

West End Disko Klub is a night where you leave the everyday at the door and lose yourself beneath the mirror ball, surrounded by some of the most infectious music on the planet.

This party is different in that we will only be producing 4 in total before retiring this concept.

Three years in the making, the concept has finally found its home at Mirror Ball Ministry. A place to celebrate the dancefloor, good people, great music and the kind of nights you don’t want to end.

We’re incredibly excited to be joining forces with some of Australia’s finest dance music talent to bring these nights to life.

FIRST EDITION – GROOVE TERMINATOR

For our inaugural instalment, we’re thrilled to welcome an absolute legend of Australian electronic music to the stage: GROOVE TERMINATOR.

Simon “Groove Terminator” Lewicki is a true pioneer of Australia’s electronic music scene, with more than four decades at the forefront of dance music culture.

One of Australia’s first DJs to be signed to a major record label, Simon broke through internationally with his Big Beat anthem One More Time (The Sunshine Song), which climbed into the Top 20 charts in both Australia and France.

Under his disco-inspired alias Chili Hi Fly, he went on to achieve international chart success with the number-one dance hit Is It Love, topping both the Australian and US Billboard dance charts in 2001.

His career has seen him share stages and tour alongside some of the biggest names in electronic music and beyond, including Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Underground Resistance, The Beastie Boys, Underworld, The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim and Moby, as well as supporting the legendary Prince on his Australian tour.

In the mid-2000s, Simon joined forces with Sam Littlemore to form Tonite Only, an electro-pop powerhouse responsible for some of the era’s most infectious club records and remixes.

His long-standing relationship with Ministry of Sound Australia has also played a significant role in shaping Australian dance music culture, from mixing some of its earliest compilations to becoming the creator, creative director, DJ and host of its hugely successful Classical show.

More recently, Simon has collaborated with five-time Grammy Award winners Soweto Gospel Choir on History of House, a celebrated production exploring the cultural revolution and South African roots of house music. The show has enjoyed sold-out seasons at Australian arts festivals and Edinburgh Fringe.

Their accompanying album, featuring club classics performed in Zulu and English, received an ARIA Award nomination in 2024 and was recognised internationally. In 2025, Rolling Stone Australia ranked Groove Terminator at number 22 in its list of the 50 Greatest Electronic Artists of All Time.

With a sound that moves effortlessly across the decades of House, Disco and everything in between, GT sums up his musical philosophy simply:

“Music to dance to.”

And that’s exactly what West End Disko Klub is all about.

THE LINE-UP

Joining Groove Terminator for our first edition, we’re bringing together a seriously good collection of selectors.

Representing Brisbane, we welcome local favourites Rousey and DJ Katch, alongside visiting selectors Dezmosis and Gaijin Disco.

Different sounds, different influences, one dancefloor.

COME FIND YOUR GROOVE.

West End Disko Klub is about the music, the people and the shared experience of losing yourself on the dancefloor.

No pretence. No distractions. Just great music, good energy and a mirror ball doing its thing.
