A West Oakland Stroll
Event description
The Prescott neighborhood in West Oakland was a thriving commercial and transportation hub. Walk along historic 7th St., past Esther’s Orbit Room, a 19th- century whale captain’s house, the site of Lew Hing’s Pacific Cannery, interesting Victorians, and the 1912 16th St. train station area. We return to a festive community art event, West Oakland Matters, near our starting point. Easy; about 2.5 miles, flat terrain on sidewalks
