Join West Oz Leather at PRIDE!
For the first time, our West Oz Leather community is marching in the Perth Pride Parade, and we want YOU to help bring the KINK back to pride!
Join us at the Bird in Northbridge for marshalling before the parade to get your wristbands for the parade area, get in gear, and get in the pride spirit! If you're not planning on marching, we would still love to see you here! You can come and chill with us as we get ready, enjoy a friendly atmosphere before the parade, and be close enough to the parade route to get some good spots to watch!
If you would like to march, there is a cost of $10 to cover the registration fee. If you're planning on hanging out ahead of the march, come and chill for free!

What the day looks like:
Arrive any time from 2-5pm if you are marching
Chill out at the Bird until around 5.30pm
Make our way over to Russell Square to get ready to march at 5.30pm
Dress code: We want you to feel sexy and confident in whatever you would like to wear, but Pride WA do have some rules.
Leather, latex, lycra, pup gear, harnesses, and any other kink and fetish wear is more than welcome!
Gear is a state of mind. Don't own or just getting into kink and fetish wear? Wear something comfortable and casual.
Genitals need to be covered, including holes, poles, and female/femme nipples (from Pride WA)
As this is our first time marching, we would love to see a big turnout for our kink and fetish community! We have requested to walk placed near the West Australian Pups and Handlers and Bears Perth, so if you're having trouble deciding who to walk with between the three, we will all be placed near each other in the marching order!
Please note that the Bird will be open to the public on this day, but it is a kink and queer-friendly space, and they are happy for us to get ready and marshal here for the parade!
Consent is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Please refrain from touching people and their gear inappropriately without permission.
What you need to know
- Is there a theme?
The official theme of the parade is "Side-by-side", but as this is our first year marching, we want to show the proud kink community that we are building together for how they are! Come in kink and fetish wear, including leather, latex, pup-gear or anything you are comfortable with - just remember, no jockstraps, chaps (without something underneath), exposed genitals, or exposed femme/female nipples.
- What's the dress code?
The dress code is set by Pride WA. "No poles, no holes, and no femme/female nipples" is the guideline. That means no jockstraps, chaps (without something underneath), exposed genitals, or exposed femme/female nipples. You CAN wear a g-string, as this technically covers your hole, and you can wear pasties to cover nipples... get a bit creative if you're looking to bend the rules 😈
If in doubt, run it past a member of the committee first by reaching out to us here or through our socials! - Do I have to march?
No! You can just come and chill with us from 2-6pm at the Bird! We are only taking tickets for marching so we know who to give a wristband to. There may be extras on the day if you change your mind, but it is better to decide before the day. You are welcome to come and hangout with us even if you don't plan on marching!
