Westmead NSW-SCHN Paediatric Palliative Master Class (CHW)

PEPA aims to improve health professionals’ knowledge, skills and confidence in the palliative approach to care and end of life care.

Program Objective:

PEPA aims to improve health professionals’ knowledge, skills and confidence in the palliative approach to care for people with a life-limiting illness.

The workshops are interactive and provide time for discussion through case presentations and examples (some aspects of the program may change due to circumstances beyond our control).

Intended workshop audience:  For nursing staff who have previously attended a SCHN Paediatric Palliative Care Education Day or has pre-existing palliative care experience and wants to know more. (Please provide brief description of  palliative care experience.  Note that places are limited, and registration is essential)

Topics include: case studies and simulations used to cover communication, symptom management, and care after death; overview of PEPA and placement opportunities.
