Wetlands Guided Walk - Birdlife Australia


Event description

Join a guide from BirdLife Australia for an exploration of Mason Park Wetlands, where you’ll encounter a diverse array of bird and plant species, along with other thriving wildlife. This guided walk, in collaboration with Strathfield Council, will focus on birdlife, offering opportunities to observe birds through a scope. You’ll learn about the resident and visiting bird species, how the wetland habitat supports them, reasons for the absence of other birds, the early start of the breeding season this spring, and much more.

Meeting point - At the footbridge over Powell’s Creek at the end of the path from Mason Park carpark.

Duration - 8.30am - 9.30am (If you can’t make it till 9am find the group somewhere along the shared path beside the wetland)

Stay sun safe and bring water. Children are welcome with an accompanying adult. In case of rain, the event will be postponed, but a brief shower won’t stop us. Limited to 20 people
