Event description

Please join WFMT and Merit School of Music as we celebrate Make Music Chicago with a live broadcast of Introductions, WFMT’s weekly Saturday morning program featuring talented pre-college classical musicians in the Chicago area.

  • 10:30 am: Doors open to Merit's Gottlieb Hall

  • 11:00 am: Live broadcast

  • 12:00 pm: Broadcast ends

The performance will feature 18-year-old flutist Jacob Cornejo, a fellow of Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative and student at Merit and ChiArts. Accompanied by pianist Mio Nakamura, Jacob’s program will feature works by Godard and Muczynski, a fantasia by Telemann, and shorter pieces by Ian Clarke and John Rutter.
