Event description

Whakāturanga Rangahau | Research Student Showcase is an annual celebration of the innovative and impactful work of UC's Doctoral and Research Master’s students. 

Bringing together the live finals of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, the viewing of Visualise Your Thesis (VYT) and Exhibit Your Thesis (EYT) entries, and a combined prizegiving, the event creates an energetic and engaging platform to highlight research excellence. While the prizegiving celebrates all three competitions, each has its own set of winners, and the People’s Choice Awards. 

The competitions featured in the Showcase challenge students to communicate the significance of their research to a non-specialist audience. It enhances presentation and communication skills, fosters interdisciplinary connections, and strengthens the public understanding of academic research.
