"What an amazing way to practice animal communication! Leading up to the course, Joanna sent several emails preparing us for our experience. She shared channeled transmissions from orcas she was already communicating with, and how we might get into "receiving mode". On the boat ride out to the whale grounds we practiced quieting our minds and receiving information from our inner senses. It was fun to have a small group to share with. The boat was small and comfortable. A whale appeared and circled around the fishing grounds for about an hour. It was a minke whale and once even came close to our boat.  I was too excited for quieting my mind at that point!  But at least now I know what to practice.  Joanna led us in closing meditations and followed up with reflections via email. We left with a manual, new friends, new skills, and a memory of a lifetime! Thank you, Joanna. I will be back. "Angie

"I had the wonderful opportunity to be part of Joanna’s very first whale watch and animal communication experience, and it was truly something special.

We were fortunate enough to see whales, but the experience was about so much more than simply spotting whales from a boat. Joanna created a beautiful space for us to slow down, become present, and open ourselves to connecting with the animals in a deeper way. She led us through exercises that helped us get out of our busy minds and really tune into the experience, our intuition, and the possibility of animal communication.

Joanna is one of the most sincere, heart-centered entrepreneurs I know, and that authenticity came through in every part of the day. She gave each of us a thoughtful workbook to help guide and deepen the experience, as well as a small crystal as a meaningful keepsake. Every detail felt intentional and came from a genuine desire to make the experience meaningful for everyone who attended.

And honestly, the people who joined the trip made the day even more special. It was such an amazing group of people to spend the day with. There was a wonderful sense of openness, curiosity, and connection among everyone, which created an atmosphere that felt really supportive and fun.

Being part of Joanna’s very first trip made it feel even more meaningful. We got to see whales, spend an incredible day on the water, explore animal communication, and share the experience with a genuinely wonderful group of people.

I’m so grateful I got to be part of this first adventure. Joanna has created something really beautiful, and I’m excited to see where she takes it from here. I would absolutely recommend experiencing one of her trips for yourself." Stephanie

FAQs

  • Are there bathrooms on the boat?

Yes, there are bathrooms on the boat.

  • Where do i park?

Free street parking or paid parking is available in the lots.

  • When should I arrive?

9:30 AM - Please include time for travel and to find parking. There is a small free lot and a paid lot nearby. Use GPS the night before to see how long it will take you to get their in traffic.

  • What should I wear?

Layers!  The weather is temperate year round in the San Juan Islands, but our boats go very fast which will feel at least 10 to 15 degrees cooler on the water.  Having a sweatshirt or jacket is a great option.  Sunglasses and sunscreen are also important with the reflection of light off the water even on cloudy days.

  • What should I bring?

Less is more!  The less you have to keep track of the easier it is to sit back, relax, and enjoy the trip. Binoculars and a camera are the only luxuries you might want to bring!

  • How close can we get to the whales?

We follow all local, state, and federal regulations while viewing wildlife. For most whales, guidelines stipulate that we view from approximately 100 yards away (200 yards for Orcas, 1/2 mile for J, K, and L Pods during whale watching season). While there’s no rule about how close the whales can come to us, please plan for viewing from a respectful distance.

  • What happens if it's raining or cloudy?

We operate our tours in almost all weather conditions. The whales don't mind if the weather isn’t perfect, and neither do we.  As residents of the Pacific Northwest we expect to encounter some rain and our vessels offer great protection from the elements. The only conditions that would cause us to cancel a tour would be severe weather
