Event description

Connect through Creativity and Play!

Join us at Butler's Reef for a relaxed, family-friendly creative adventure where there’s no “right” way to make art, just endless possibilities! Designed for children aged 6–12 and their parents, this session is all about letting your imagination lead the way. Our whānau process art workshop invites you and your young creative to explore, experiment, and connect using innovative Makedo cardboard tools and a range of open-ended, everyday materials. Come for art & play, then stay for lunch!

Enjoy the freedom to tinker without pressure while relaxing with a hot cuppa, included in your ticket. We believe in celebrating every step of the creative process as a way to connect, grow, and nurture well-being. ❤️

This workshop is facilitated by Franzi Maciej, an experienced teacher and creative play advocate. With nearly two decades of teaching experience across Germany, the USA, and New Zealand, Franzi brings enthusiasm, joy, and a playful approach to each session. Her warm and inclusive teaching style helps children feel valued, safe, and inspired, and adults discover their inner child. 😊
