Event description

Join Michelle Redfern and Adam Tardif for a fearless and frank conversation about how blokes can do life, leadership, workplaces, marriage, and parenting differently.

Adam and Michelle met through their love of and commitment to Australian Rules football as well as their shared vision to advance women and girls playing, volunteering and working in the sporting system.

Adam is a bloke who really gets it when it comes to the key role he and other blokes play with gender equality in workplaces, sporting environments, and our communities.

Michelle is definitely a woman who gets its when it comes to moving gender equality from conversation to action in workplaces across the business and sporting sectors.

Like all other Advancing Women workshops, this is a session focussed on the 'how' so that everyone who attends leaves with at least one or two new ideas, techniques, and tools in their toolkit to create gender-balanced and inclusive workplaces where all humans can reach their full potential.

Who Should Attend?

People of all genders who want to learn more about how societal forces hold women and men back from advancing and reaching their full potential in the workplace.

What is the Event Format?

Michelle and Adam will be 'in conversation' for the first part of the workshop, we will then have a couple of (not daggy) interactive exercises then throw the session open for our own QandA on why gender equality in the workplace is good for blokes too.

Can I Ask Michelle or Adam Questions in Advance?

You sure can. When you book you will have an opportunity to ask questions in advance. We'd love you to do that too as it ensures we tailor the session to your needs.

What Else Should I Know?

  • The modest fees to attend this workshop will be donated to Our Watch will help create an Australia where women and their children live free from all forms of violence.
  • You can participate in the workshop as much or as little as you like. We're running it by Zoom, so feel free to have the video on or off;
  • You can ask questions of Michelle and Adam in advance, live using the chat function or live in the QandA session, your choice;
  • You'll receive a resource pack following the workshop to ensure you're equipped to keep the conversation going in your workplace;
  • You will receive an attendee directory so you can also keep the networking and connecting going after the workshop.
