About the speaker:
Professor Jonathan Ben-Dov is professor at the Department of Biblical Studies. He teaches the Hebrew Bible, literature of the Second Temple era, and Ancient Near Eastern literature. Formerly a faculty member at the University of Haifa. Active in several projects aimed at improving available editions of the Dead Sea Scrolls, with some use of digital tools and computational methods. Studies astronomy and calendars in the ancient world, as well as the history of the biblical text and the creation of Jewish Apocalyptic literature.
