Event description

Central Queensland Law Association Young Lawyers present "What Barristers in Central Queensland Want (in their Briefs)" CPD. The event will be held at the Old Supreme Court Chambers from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, 18 October 2024. The CPD itself will run from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, with an opportunity to network either side.

Tickets are free for members of the CQLA, or $10 for non-members.

The event will comprise of a Panel discussion, engaging our local bar, to identify topics - for example:

  1. What they expect to see in their Briefs to Counsel;
  2. What their pet peeves are; and
  3. Any examples of their lived experiences for what solicitors have done well/not so well in their Briefs to Counsel.

A final version of the Panel questions will be sent closer to the event.

CQLA Young Lawyers look forward to seeing you there! The event is hosted and directed at Young Lawyers, however, the local legal profession in its entirety is invited to attend if interested.
