'What Bees Want' A Conversation with Susan Chernak and Jacqueline Freeman
Event description

What Do Bees Want??
Susan and Jacqueline have spent thousands of hours observing the bees at work, their intimate communication, seasonal activity and communal partnerships. They are the authors of 'What Bees Want'.
When bees are allowed to live naturally, they thrive!!!
Susan and Jacqueline will be sharing their extensive and intimate knowledge on what they have learnt and experienced after decades of observation and interactions with bees.
This free webinar will take a very deep dive into the Bee's perspective, needs and spiritual connections. It will include a slide presentation and then time for questions after.
The webinar will be approximately 1hour and 30 minutes.
This webinar will be recorded.
This will be a very special and unique experience for all those who love bees. For some it will be discovering a new understanding and philosophy and for others a reminder and a return to what we already innately knew about the wild spirit of the bee which inspires us, teaches us and connects us.
More information about Jacqueline and Susan....
Jacqueline Freeman
Jacqueline and her husband Joseph moved onto their biodynamic farm in Washington in 2001 and she got her first hives soon after. She attended conventional bee school and immediately knew there must be a different way to care for bees that is more respectful, more compassionate.
Jacqueline has been teaching this bee-centric approach in her classes, blending natural beekeeping and bee-driven insights into the nature of bees for decades. She speaks and teaches about bees at events and conferences worldwide.
Jacqueline is the author of "SONG OF INCREASE: Listening to the Wisdom of Honeybees.for Kinder Beekeeping and a Better World”. Her books are in ten languages, and she appears in numerous bee documentaries.
Susan Chernak
Susan attended a bee class Jacqueline was teaching in 2013, and an immediate friendship blossomed. Susan helped Jacqueline put all her bee-centred wisdom into the book 'What Bees Want'. Susan has also written many books on the relationship between humans and animals.
Susan tends a collection of hives in her backyard using her bee centred approach and they are thriving. She speaks at bee clubs, and conferences.
Susan’s hives are the focus of her spiritual practice—the apiary as temple, teacher, divine inspiration, and meditation corner. She continues to study the science and the mystery of beekeeping and believes that what is truly good for honeybees is equally good for human bee-ings. A long term-survivor of advanced cancer, she speaks from a rich body of lived experience, reminding us that our evolutionary journey toward becoming more fully human beings has included thousands of years of intimate connection with honeybees, animals, and the living Earth.
Their book 'What Bee's Want ' gives a beautiful insight into the world of the Bee and how we can care for the Bees in a way which is Bee-centric and puts the Bee first.
We look forward to you joining us!
