What Grows Here (photography walk and night projection)

Photography walk: Friday 2 October, 4.30pm - 6.30pm

Join us to experience the Peterborough landscape through a photography walk. Walking together to name what is growing, seeding, or lying dormant figuratively and literally. We will photograph whatever we encounter: the nature pushing through fences and footpaths, the overlooked edges of our country town, the quiet signs of seasonal change.

BYO cameras (phone cameras are fine!).

We will meet and start our walk in the carpark of the Peterborough Youth Centre.

Open to ages 12+.

Zine-making session: Friday 2 October 7pm - 9pm

Join us for a zine-making session at the Peterborough Youth Centre. We'll take inspiration from our photography walk + the photos themselves and turn them into DIY mini magazines celebrating what grows here. We will have a range of crafty materials but you are also welcome to bring your own.

Open to ages 16-25.

Projection Sharing: Saturday 10 October, 8pm - 9pm

The final celebration of What Grows Here at the Peterborough Youth Centre. Join us for a cuppa, snack and a nighttime projection of images from the photography walk.

The Projection Sharing is open to all ages.

What Grows Here is supported by a 2026 regional micro-grant from the Nature Festival. What Grows Here is delivered through REIGN – a new fortnightly youth creative program run at the Peterborough Youth & Community Centre for young people aged 16–25.
