What happens to my recycling?
Event description
What happens to my recycling?
Have you ever wondered what happens after your bins are emptied into the trucks?
To celebrate National Recycling Week, Campbelltown Council is offering residents the opportunity to see where the contents of our bins go and how the recycling, organics and general waste is processed.
Ten lucky residents will be picked up from Council’s Civic Centre and taken by bus to the Resource Recovery Park in Spring Farm for a guided tour around the site. There residents will learn how recyclables are processed, how the contents of the green lid bins are turned into composts and mulches, and how general waste is landfilled.
