🐾 What If Your Dog Is Your Greatest Teacher? One-Day Workshop 11 October 2026
Description
🐾 What if your dog isn't here simply to love you, entertain you or keep you company? What if they're also here to help you become a calmer, more authentic and more connected version of yourself?
Join me for this unique dog awareness workshop at Dune Lakes, where we'll explore the extraordinary relationship between humans and dogs through a completely different lens. Inspired by almost 60 years of living and learning with dogs, together with decades of experience with horses, this is not about teaching your dog to change—it's about discovering what your dog may already be teaching you.
Don't have a dog? No problem! You're warmly welcome to join us, and if you'd like, you can partner with one of my three wonderful dogs. Each has their own unique personality and gifts, offering a different opportunity for learning, connection and discovery.
Together we'll explore how calm presence, trust, energy and authentic leadership can transform not only our relationship with our dogs, but also with ourselves and the people around us.
This pilot workshop is limited to just 10 participants—pet owners, dog lovers and their dogs (or one of mine)—to ensure a relaxed, personal and meaningful experience. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
✨ If this speaks to you, I'd love to welcome you and your four-legged teacher to Dune Lakes.
This inspiring photograph below is one of the beautiful moments in time captured at Dune Lakes almost 10 years ago.
Here we have Texas, our gentle horse, Sophie, Cruise, our beloved dog, and Sika, a young female deer... all sharing the same space in complete calm, trust and harmony.
No one was trying to control anyone.
No one was demanding attention.
Each animal simply felt safe enough to be themselves.
Watching moments like these over many years has reinforced something I deeply believe: our dogs, as well as horses, are constantly reflecting our own energy back to us.
Inspired by many of the principles that Cesar Millan has helped bring into mainstream awareness—particularly the importance of calm, confident leadership and the influence of our own state of mind. I feel incredibly fortunate to have shared my life with dogs from a very young age. My journey began when I received my first dog at the age of nine, igniting a lifelong passion that has led me through decades of training, study, observation and learning from the dogs themselves.
I've also had the privilege of sharing my life with horses, whose extraordinary sensitivity and honesty have profoundly deepened my understanding of relationships, communication and energy. They have been some of my greatest teachers, continually reminding me that animals respond not to who we pretend to be, but to who we truly are. Through all these years, one truth has continued to reveal itself to me: the greatest transformation doesn't begin with changing our dog or our horse... it begins with understanding ourselves.
This dog & human awareness workshop at Dune Lakes, dog guardians will explore:
How our energy influences our dogs.
Why calmness creates connection.
What our dogs may be trying to teach us about ourselves.
Practical ways to build deeper trust, communication and harmony.
This is beyond dog training. It will be an opportunity for personal growth, with our dogs as our teachers.
Sometimes the greatest lessons in life arrive on four legs... and quietly wait for us to listen. 🐾💚
