As we enter into 2021 we are looking forward. For our February event, we will consider how the changing workplace and workforce can inform how we, as OD practitioners, work today.

We are excited to be joined by Helen Hovenga. Helen has held many senior roles in large, complex organisations, working with senior leadership to develop and deliver people strategy. As an OD pratitioner she uses her deep understanding of people and organisations to create an inspiring future by empowering and energising people.

During this session Helen will share her insights, and lead us in an interactive discussion around how OD can continue to add value to people and organsations. She will draw on the experience of the group to consider questions for our field:

  • What role does OD play in shaping the future of organisations?
  • How do we, as individuals and practitioners, adapt to remain relevant?
  • How do we support organisations and leaders to adapt?

Helen Hovenga

Helen Hovenga, Chief People Officer

Helen is an experienced OD executive who has worked with Executives, CEO's and Boards in developing and delivering the People Strategy with passion, kindness, drive and effective performance outcomes. She is a deep thinker, high achiever, quick learner, influencer, early adopter and futurist with diverse experience across large, complex organisations and sectors, including Health, Finance, Manufacturing, Mining, Automotive and Retail. Helen has a Master of Business (HR) with distinction from Charles Sturt University; a Graduate Diploma in HR Management and Industrial Relations from RMIT and a Bachelor of Arts, Double major in Psychology and Politics from Swinburne. Her other qualifications and accreditations include:

  • Insights Discovery Practitioner
  • SHL Assessment Accreditation including OPQ
  • Human Synergistics LSI and L/I Accredited Practitioner
  • Lominger Competencies Accredited Practitioner
