“Moving towards a Regenerative Future with the Living Building Challenge”

An open and free Public Forum, Panel Discussion and Q & A session with four experts in the field.

What if every act of design and construction could make the world, and Tasmania, a better place?

Regenerative frameworks, like the Living Building Challenge (LBC), prove that buildings can give more than they take without compromising aesthetic, commercial viability, human health or the environment.

Created by the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) and supported in Australia by the Living Future Institute of Australia (LFIA), the LBC and Living Community Challenge (LCC) are a holistic, high-performing and forward-looking approach.

Through exploring local and international case studies, we aim to offer a new perspective and hopeful way to improve the state of our current, 'development-at-any cost', architectural and urban planning design solutions. This can apply as much to Greater Hobart as it does all around Tasmania, by incorporating the 'Living Building Challenge' and the 'Living Community Challenge' principles into our strategic approach and even our legislative and regulatory approval systems.

We are offering an inspiring, open and free Public Forum with an expert Panel of speakers including four international, national and local proponents of these two regenerative frameworks

FREE PARKING (including disabled parking) will be available on site. The venue has a fully accessible main entry, fire exits and toilets.
