With the disruption of unemployment globally and artificial intelligence being used to replace the human element of a business raises reasonable fears. What are the strategies for role reshaping, and where should we upskill to gain longevity in our current roles? 

This event will be moderated by Anne Moore, Work Futurist & Founder, as we take a closer look at the future of work and how predictions have changed.

BIOS

ANTHONY ELLIOTT is a Research Professor of Sociology and Executive Director of the Hawke EU Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at the University of South Australia, where he is Chancellery Dean of External Engagement.  He is Super-Global Professor of Sociology (Visiting) at Keio University, Japan and Visiting Professor of Sociology at UCD, Ireland.  He is a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia.  In 2018, he was appointed to the Expert Working Group of the Academy of the Council of Learned Academies in Australia to investigate: “Deployment of artificial intelligence and what it presents for Australia”. Professor Elliott is the author of many influential books in social theory and modern sociology, including most recently Reinvention, Identity Troubles and The Culture of AI, all published by Routledge.

DIMA GALAT
 is the Chief Computing Officer and Co-Founder at Gronade. Dima is a dynamic and detail-oriented data scientist and an effective leader who understands the complexities of software development and can communicate with engineers and c-suites in their language. During his career, he has learned how to make smart automation work for in the real world, and how to lead teams that produce elaborate but reliable machine learning systems.

ANNE MOORE is a Work Futurist & Founder of PlanDo. Social scientist and entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for people and learning. Anne has worked with some of the best known local and global brands building skills, transforming culture and making sure individuals, teams and organizations are set for success and growth. Before establishing PlanDo in 2012,  Anne founded SydneyTalent, a Sydney University startup that places students into paid, course-related work with outstanding results. Around this time, I became deeply interested in the changing face of work across a lifetime.
