What's in an Edit?

Join Developmental Editors Christine Pinto and Elena Hartwell Taylor and Copy Editor and Proofreader Amy Cecil Holm as they demonstrate individual approaches to their craft.

Using first pages (roughly 250 words) of material submitted by workshop attendees, they will share their edits with the group, explaining their reasoning behind each suggestion and allowing everyone to see how they approach a project, including how their responses may differ in this very subjective endeavor.

If you'd like to submit a first page, please register for the event, then send one page or 250ish words, (double-spaced, 12-point font) along with the title and genre in a word document to elena@allegoryediting.com. Feel free to let us know if you'd like your submission to remain anonymous. We will remove your name and the title from the page.

No submission necessary! The information in the workshop will be applicable to writers in general regardless of the inclusion of their material. Based on space, not all samples will be included.
