Event description
“What’s in your Stack?” Chat
with Katie, Amanda & Lisa
Calling all teachers of young writers!
Are you looking for new mentor texts to teach with?
Do you want to harness the power of “Your Stack”?
Then join us for an hour-long informal chat, where Lisa, Amanda and Katie each share a Stack and what they would teach with it.
If you can't join us in this time zone, we will email you a link to the recorded session within 24 hours.
How does it work?
- Each Chat will be framed around a particular Spotlight Study/Unit of Study. We’ll each share our Stack and why we chose each text
- Each of us will focus on a particular age group of writers:
- Preschool
- Foundation (first year of primary) and Year 1
- Years 2 and 3.
- A chance for some Q&A at the end
Who is this suited to?
- Educators working with young writers aged 3 to 9 (initially…we may expand to older writers at some stage too).
- Educators who have some background with Writing Workshop/Bookmaking.
How do I join?
- Purchase your registration. Agree to the conditions of online learning.
- Download the latest (free) version of Zoom onto your computer.
- A Zoom link and agenda will be emailed to you in the week prior – so make sure, when registering, you enter an email address you will check.
- 5 minutes prior to start time, use the link to go to Zoom.
- You’re in our Chat!
- We will email you a resource sheet about the Stacks we shared.
“What’s in your Stack?” Chat #2 will be on...
