Duck Creek Film Society proudly presents What’s Love Got To Do With It on May 17. In London, film maker Zoe (Lily James) is unsuccessfully trying to find lasting love. Her best friend Kazim (Shazad Latif) decides to let his parents arrange a marriage in line with his Pakistani heritage. Filmed by Zoe, we follow their journey from London to a wedding in Lahore. Beautifully filmed by award-winning director Shekhar Kapur, the film explores themes of cultural expectations, love and documentary making.
6pm: Gates open. Join us in the courtyard for live music by talented local duo L’Oiseau (guitar and flute). Delicious homemade finger foods and hot and cold beverages are available to purchase (fundraiser Alstonville PS P&C). Sorry no alcohol.
