About this event

This event will be a conversation between our hosts and guest speakers about this year’s Feature Dialogues. There will be ways for you to participate in this conversation by asking a question ahead of time or using the chat function during the event.

They will share these key learnings:

  • Feature Dialogue 1 on General Foundational Supports: Trusted information, help navigating services and peer support led by people with lived experience.

  • Feature Dialogue 2 on Targeted Foundational Supports: Supports shaped around children’s and families’ needs, including community hubs and stronger local connections.

  • Feature Dialogue 3 on Supported Independent Living: What people with intellectual disability say about choice, respectful support, safety and provider accountability.

  • Feature Dialogue 4 on Good Community Support: What people with intellectual disability, families and providers say works, and what future supports should achieve.

  • Our survey: Tracking how people with disability and families experience NDIS changes over time, and how to participate.

Join us for this important conversation to find out about what we learnt this year and our next steps.

Information about the hosts and speakers will be added soon.

About the Disability Dialogue

Disability Dialogue is a safe space where people with disability, families, representative organisations, providers, researchers, and the wider community work together on things that matter to us.

We are led by people with disability. That means we're the ones in charge, generating ideas, making decisions, and leading the way.

We are a joint initiative of DANA, Inclusion Australia, Ability First Australia and the Melbourne Disability Institute.
