A long lunch for the women of the Illawarra, with a whole lot of heart.

What Women Want is our annual gala and fundraiser bringing women from across the Illawarra together for an afternoon of connection, conversation, inspiration and giving back.

Now in its fourth year, What Women Want has become a very special day on our calendar. It is an opportunity to gather your girlfriends, workmates, clients, colleagues, mum, sisters or daughters and simply enjoy being together, while supporting organisations doing important work right here in our community.

This year, it’s about helping women feel better, not just do more.

Women are incredibly good at doing. We juggle businesses, careers, families, relationships, responsibilities and everyone else’s needs, often without stopping to think about how we actually feel.

Our 2026 event invites us to change that conversation.

Our keynote speaker, Pia Kynoch, is a wellbeing specialist, speaker and mentor with more than 30 years of experience exploring the connection between the body, nervous system and overall wellbeing.

Pia will share simple, practical ways to better understand and reconnect with our bodies, energy and wellbeing, helping us create greater energy, resilience and vitality.

Doors open at 11.30am, giving you time to arrive, grab your bubbles and settle in before the event begins at 12.00pm.

And there’s no need to rush off afterwards! The Marble Bar will be open after the event, so you can stay on, enjoy a drink and keep the conversations going.

And while we enjoy ourselves, we’re giving back.

Every dollar of profit from What Women Want goes to our chosen local charities.

For 2026, proceeds will be shared equally between:

Dress for Success Illawarra, supporting women into employment with clothing, coaching and career services provided at no cost.

Need a Feed, supporting individuals and families across the Illawarra experiencing homelessness, hardship and food insecurity through meals, care packs and outreach.

The Marble Bar will be open after the event for those who would like to stay on.
