Wheel Throwing | Term 4

$450 (includes booking fee)

Spanning eight weeks, this course is designed to cater to for a wide range of skill levels from beginners to more experienced potters. 

It covers foundational techniques where participants will learn the basics of wheel throwing such as centering, pulling, shaping and progress to more advanced methods.

Students will also learn for to finish their work by learning the technical and design-based final touches such as trimming. 

Upon completion of this course, students are advised to consult with their tutor and may be ready to take on the Intermediate Wheel Throwing course.

The first block of clay is included at no extra cost and students are able to use the studio's clay tools.

Available sessions:

• Tuesdays 9:30am-11:30am (with Greg Hamilton);

• Tuesdays 6:00pm-8:00pm (with Stephen Roberts);

• Wednesdays 9:30am-11:30am (with Greg Hamilton);

• Thursday 6:00pm-8:00pm (with Greg Hamilton).

Term 4 commences from Tuesday 6 October 2026 and concludes Thursday 26 November 2026.

About: The Cooroy Butter Factory Pottery Studio is a community space for potters of all skill levels. It is well equipped with pottery wheels, a slab roller, an extruder, kilns and plenty of workspace. Work solo at your own pace, or join a class.
