- How this shift can help reduce shame (for you and your child).
The role of your own regulation:
- Why your presence - not perfection- is the most powerful tool for de-escalating aggression.
- You are the most important "tool" - AND it takes time to learn self regulation if you were never modeled it.
- Practical strategies to stay grounded during your child’s emotional storms.
Tools to support your child through aggression:
- Guidance on what to do when your child is in attacking energy.
- How to create safety and help them release fight energy in healthy ways.
- The nuance and complexity of attacking energy
Looking beneath the behaviour:
- Identifying patterns, triggers, and unmet needs that fuel aggression.
- Exploring potential root causes like sensory overwhelm, hunger, or lagging skills. (This will be touched on but not a deep dive as its outside the scope of this masterclass)

Children experiencing verbal and physical aggression can trigger their parents so deeply. It might even bring up your own anger, rage and yes aggression (Ive heard from hundreds of Mums who have hurt their kids in response to aggression and are horrified by their own behaviour).

Even if your child isn't aggressive often, there is every chance it could amplify in some seasons of dysregulation, when there is more stress in the home, when hormones swirl, when painful things happen at school or when they are feeling overstimulated, tired, or something deeper is happening, under the behaviour.
