1920s Hollywood Glamour, Aussie Grit
Two girls from the Wheatbelt. One shot at silent-screen stardom.
Enid and Marjorie Bennett swapped the dust of York, WA for the dazzle of Sunset Boulevard and became two of Hollywood's brightest silent film stars, right as the industry itself was being invented on the fly. Flappers, flashbulbs, fast money and faster reputations: this was a town built on reinvention, and it chewed up as many dreams as it made.
What does it take to survive Hollywood's Golden Age when you were raised on hard work, sunburn and sibling squabbles? Could two sisters from the bush out-glamour, out-hustle and out-last a town built on smoke, mirrors and broken promises, without losing each other along the way?
Lights. Camera. ACTION!
