Song Birds – Whispers of the Wildflowers Workshop Series
Join us for a fun and creative hands-on clay workshop where you’ll create two charming little songbirds, each with its own character and personality.
During the workshop, you’ll learn how to shape and build your two birds from clay and decorate them using a selection of beautiful flower and butterfly moulds. You can add your own textures, patterns and details to make each bird completely unique.
Once your birds are finished, they will be carefully dried and fired in the kiln using a beautiful selection of glazes.
No previous pottery experience is needed. This workshop is suitable for beginners and anyone who enjoys working creatively with clay.
All clay, moulds, glazes and firings are included in the workshop price.
Come along and create two beautiful ceramic songbirds to enjoy at home or give as a special handmade gift.
Your piece will then be ready to collect in from The Malbon a few weeks later, delivered locally in Yass, or posted for an additional $15.

- Do I need any prior pottery experience?
No experience is needed. Our workshops are designed for beginners and returning makers, with gentle guidance provided throughout the session.
- What do I need to bring?
Just yourself and clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay on. All materials, tools, and firing are included.
- What happens to my piece after the workshop?n
Your piece will be carefully dried, bisque fired, glazed, and glaze fired in our studio. It will be ready for collection a few weeks after the workshop.
- When and where do I collect my finished piece?ion
Collection details will be emailed once your piece is ready. Collection locations vary depending on the workshop venue. It takes about 4-5 weeks for pottery to be dried, fired, glazed and fired again.
- Is the pottery food safe?
Yes. All functional pieces are glazed with food-safe glazes and fired to a durable finish, unless otherwise stated.
