White Tara & Family Retreat at SIBA 2027
Description
January at SIBA Retreat Centre is a great time to refresh and rejuvenate at the beginning of the year. Each year we combine the White Tara Retreat with the Family Retreat so everyone is catered for: adults can experience the healing practice of White Tara, while children enjoy a range of activities, designed especially for them.
SIBA is a stunning and welcoming Buddhist retreat centre in East Gippsland's Snowy River Country, and the White Tara & Family Retreat returns there from Friday 22 to Tuesday 26 January 2027, over the Australia Day long weekend.
This popular retreat is a great opportunity to learn the White Tara practice under the guidance of Lama Choedak Rinpoche, who will bestow the White Tara empowerment and give extensive teachings on the practice.
It's an excellent way to begin the new year: invigorating, refreshing, and will give you a new lease on life for 2027!
If you have ever thought about doing a retreat and learning more about Tibetan Buddhist practice, and White Tara in particular, now is the time.
The booking fees are all inclusive and include the teachings, activities, accommodation and delicious vegetarian meals. It is a great opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.
For families
It's also a wonderful opportunity for families to spend quality time together in the beautiful, lush surrounds of SIBA. Parents can attend the White Tara Retreat while children of all ages enjoy plenty of supervised activities, including Dharma storytelling, outdoor games, music, damper making and campfires. Depending on their ability, children may also visit the Buchan Caves.
Children under the age of five stay free of charge when accompanied by a parent or adult carer.
Who can attend
Families and individuals are all welcome. If you can't attend the White Tara Retreat in person, you can take part online via Zoom.
