Event description

Join us for Women's Health Loddon Mallee's 2022 Annual General Meeting, Thursday 17th November, 2022 via Zoom. We hope you can join us.

This year we are fortunate to be joined by three leaders in sports - Rosie King, Meghan Mayman, and Alana Wearne.

We'll also be reflecting on the year, celebrating some of our achievements, and providing an overview of the organisation's financial position.

We'd love to see you there.

About Rosie King:

Rosie has recently returned to the Geelong Cats Football Club in an advisory capacity after being the CEO of Netball Victoria and The Melbourne Vixens for 6 years. Prior to taking on the role in netball she was part of the Executive team at the Cats for 6 years. During her time at the Club, Rosie held the position of Acting CEO; the first female to be elevated to this level in AFL’s history. She was awarded the prestigious Graeme Samuel Scholarship by the AFL Commission which enabled her to undertake further leadership development at Harvard University in Boston.

Rosie was awarded an OAM in the 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours and she was also an inductee to the Victorian Honour Roll for Women in the same year. Rosie was also honoured to be named an “Distinguished Alumni” by Federation University in 2020 where she obtained Masters’ in Business Management.

Rosie was delighted to be announced as the 2018 Victorian Sports Administrator of the year. She has successfully lobbied for greater investment into women’s sporting infrastructure including a $64.6m upgrade to the State Home of Netball and has most recently been successful in obtaining funding for two statues of sportswomen to be erected in Melbourne.
