Who am I? with Gen Kelsang Rabten
Event description
We hear so much about ‘finding ourselves’ – but what is it we’re looking for? And how do we go about looking for it?
It’s easy for our negative self-talk to create an idea of a very fixed and limited self, that we buy into. We don’t recognise or relate to who we really are and to our limitless potential, so we miss a huge opportunity.
Through Buddha’s teachings, we’re able to answer these deep questions and, in the process, set ourself free from limiting conceptions of who we are, what we can become and what we can achieve.
In this workshop, through wisdom and the inner exploration of meditation, uncover insights into your authentic self – beyond roles, titles, and the stories you’ve been told. Through exploring the nature of the self in this way, you’ll discover that the self you normally see and relate to – a limited self, with limited potential – actually does not exist, and that you’ve been misidentifying yourself for a very long time.
The “I” or ‘self’ that does exist is one of unlimited potential and possibility.
Join us for this special event, with National Spiritual Director, Gen Kelsang Rabten, and let go of limiting conceptions. Be guided to identifying yourself correctly, thus eliminating many of your usual problems and discovering your extraordinary potential.
Whether you’re at a crossroads or simply yearning to grow, this wisdom will enable you to move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
Everyone is welcome to join this workshop, regardless of background or previous experience of meditation.
“We should know that we need to identify our own mind, our own body and our self correctly. Since beginningless time our way of identifying our self has been mistaken.” – Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
