We're bringing the ultimate queer look-alike showdown to Manning Bar, where contestants will transform into their favourite celebrities, pop culture icons and legendary divas.
Expect dramatic runway walks, hilarious audience questions, show-stopping performances and plenty of surprises. Whether you're here to cheer on your friends, scream for your favourite diva or just enjoy the chaos, this is a night you won't want to miss!
And when the competition wraps up? The party's just getting started. 🪩

🎤 The Look-Alike Contest: Watch our fabulous contestants battle it out through runway walks, audience Q&As and creative performances as they compete for $1,000 in prizes!
👑 Crown Your Favourite Diva: Bring your loudest cheers and support your favourite performers as they take the stage.
🪩 The Afterparty: Once the winners are crowned, stick around for music, dancing, a photo booth and a night of queer celebration!

You don't have to be a contestant to be part of the fun! Come with your friends, dress as your favourite icon if you're feeling extra, or simply show up ready for a great night.
Whether you're coming for the performances, the laughs, the music or the vibes, there's something for everyone.

🎤 Who's That Diva?
It's time to meet our contestants! Watch as our fabulous look-alikes take to the stage to channel their favourite celebrities, pop culture icons and legendary divas. Expect three rounds of entertainment: ✨ The Runway: Contestants strut their stuff, showing off their looks, outfits and best celebrity impersonations. 🎙️ The Hot Seat: Our host puts the divas to the test with hilarious questions, quick wit and plenty of personality. 💃 The Performance: From lip-syncing and dancing to unexpected talents, contestants pull out all the stops to win over the crowd.

👑 Crowning the Ultimate Diva
The moment we've all been waiting for! Our winners will be announced, with $1,000 in prizes up for grabs: 🥇 First Place - $500 🥈 Second Place -$300 🥉 Third Place - $200 Who takes home the crown? That's up to the crowd! Cheer on your favourites and help decide who deserves the title of the ultimate diva.

Whether you're tearing up the dance floor, striking a pose at the photobooth or just vibing with your friends, it's time to let loose and celebrate a night of queer excellence! 💃✨

- Is this a free event?
Yes, this is a free event for all. You will need to provide you USU Member number to claim the free drink + food promotion.
- Do I have to participate in the competition to attend?
Not at all! The competition is just part of the fun. Come along to watch the performances, cheer on your favourite diva and enjoy the afterparty!
- Do I have to dress up?
Nope! Dressing up is completely optional, but we definitely encourage you to serve a look! Whether you're channelling your favourite celebrity or coming as yourself, everyone's welcome. 💅
- Does everyone get a free meal + drink voucher?
Free meal and drink vouchers are available to the first 100 USU members who arrive at the event, so make sure to get in early when doors open at 6pm! Vouchers are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- How can I sign up to be a contestant?
To compete, you'll need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through our contestant registration form. Spaces are limited, so sign up here!
- Is this event only for LGBTQIA+ attendees?
Not at all! Everyone is welcome, including friends and allies. All we ask is that you come with respect, an open mind and good energy!
- Release of Liability, Waver of Claims and Assumption of Risk
By participating in this event, I agree to the terms and conditions:
1. Participants are responsible for their own behaviour and any resulting consequences. The University of Sydney Union shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings or any injury to the individual or others resulting from the event. Furthermore, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of this event.
2. I consent to being contacted by the USU via email about upcoming events and activities. I can opt out of these communications at any time.
3. I consent to being photographed by USU during the event for future promotion content on USU socials and communication channels.4.This event is strictly for participants aged 18 and over. By purchasing a ticket, you confirm that you meet the age requirement. ID may be checked at entry.
5.The USU reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. weather, safety concerns, or venue issues). In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify ticket holders and process refunds.
6.This event is a shared space for all attendees to enjoy. Please be respectful to staff, other students, and the venue at all times. Anyone displaying inappropriate, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour may be asked to leave the event.7. Entry will not be granted to latecomers — if you arrive late, your spot will be given to someone on the waitlist and counted as a no-show.
- Will there be photos taken at the event?
Yes! We'll have a photobooth for you to capture some fun memories with your friends. Photography and videography may also take place throughout the event.
If you're uncomfortable with being photographed or filmed, please approach a USU staff member on the night so we can assist with your concerns.
