Whole Farm Planning - Toodyay
Event description
What: This Whole Farm Planning day explores the principles of Whole Farm Planning and how this holistic planning design approach integrates not only every aspect within the land system and all of its natural and physical resources, with improved efficiency, productivity and sustainability, but pulls in the complexity around the landholder and their goals, values, objectives, and considers the financial, ecological and social barriers, risks and opportunities.
Prior to attending, participants will be asked to consider the emotional drivers, goals, and values that invariably underpin all business, farm, and lifestyle decisions and choices that they make, to ensure that their farm planning is aligned with these.
This day will offer tools and guidance to kickstart your farm planning journey, leaving participants with plenty of insights, discoveries, and perhaps a mountain of questions that will be explored after the workshop with the guidance of the group. The intention is that the group will identify knowledge gaps which will help build bespoke Whole Farm Plan over time that farmers have developed from their own hearts, minds, and hands!
