Why Am I Like This? – Exploring Faith, Trauma, and Healing in Community
Event description
Join us for a 6-week community book and Bible study based on Why Am I Like This? by Kobe Campbell. This group is designed for anyone who desires to better understand how trauma impacts their lives and how God meets us in the middle of our brokenness with hope, healing, and freedom.
Together we will:
✨ Explore how trauma shapes our stories and identities
✨ Learn how faith and neuroscience intersect in the healing journey
✨ Discover practical tools to move from survival to thriving
✨ Grow in community with others who are also seeking God’s restoration
This group will be co-led by Alyson Groft, counseling intern at Graceful Balance Wellness, and Brittany Edie, LCPC, LPC — founder of Graceful Balance Wellness.
📍 Location: Graceful Balance Wellness, Hanover, PA office
📅 Dates: Beginning October 13 and continuing every Monday until November 17
⏰ Time: 9:30am-11:00am
💡 Cost: Free community group (space limited to 12 participants)
Important Notes
This is a community and educational group, not a therapy group. While we will explore themes of trauma and faith, this group does not replace counseling. If you find yourself needing additional support, our team of licensed clinicians and wellness practitioners are available for therapy and holistic care.
👉 Space is limited to 12 participants, so please reserve your spot today!
