Originally from the UK, he moved to Perth in the late 90s and graduated top of his class from the UWA Business School with an MBA. Some highlights of his career:

• Startup Founder: Co-founded AussieHome.com, a property listings site, which was later acquired by REIWA.
• Leadership Roles: Served as CEO of Business News, managed WA’s New Industries Fund, and led Startup News and the Startup West podcast.
• Government & Advisory Work: Currently a board member of the WA Innovation Advisory Board, helping drive policy and support for startups.
• Mentor & Investor: Actively advises, invests in, and promotes emerging startups in Perth.

Charlie has been instrumental in growing WA’s startup ecosystem, advocating for better funding and support for entrepreneurs. His insights into the challenges and opportunities in the sector make him a key voice in the community.
