Wicked Stories - Generating a Social Ecology
Event description
Wicked Stories takes good, and inexperienced speakers and makes you a great speaker. You'll work with expert storytelling facilitators from the Wicked Elephants Co-op over 5 weekly sessions - to blend your own story with your organisation's story; so that you can deliver more impactful messages to your audience - be they the media, your donors, supporters, volunteers or your colleagues.
This online program is a lively mix of exercises, embodiment, theory, small group and large group exploration. You'll gain confidence and delight in eliciting, crafting and telling stories that engage the hearts and minds of your growing audience.
There are 5 sessions: 16, 23, 30th Nov and Dec 7th (Weds 2-5pm) and then Dec 13th (Tues 3-5pm - a dress rehearsal) & Dec14th (Wed 5.30-7.30pm) the celebratory event.The training culminates on Dec 14th with an online speakers event bringing together a wide audience of supporters, friends and colleagues.
A critical aspect of this training is learning how to craft and facilitate a speakers' event. Participants learn how to create a social ecosystem shifting their audience from the old and tired consumerist model of one way delivery of information to a pollinator model- enlivening action, new networks and an audience who sense that their input is valued.
