Brains, Bosses & Bytes: Staff vs Students Cyber Trivia Night

Think you can out smart your lecturers or professionals? Now's your chance to prove it.

Join the La Trobe University Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) Student Chapter and Cybersecurity Society for an afternoon of fun & friendly competition, networking and free pizza, as students go head-to-head against academic and professional staff in a cyber themed trivia challenge.

What to expect:

Three rounds of trivia spanning beginner to advanced cybersecurity and general knowledge, with student teams made up of a mix of 1st year Undergraduates through to Postgraduate students. Between rounds, take a breather, swap strategies and connect with fellow students and cyber professionals. The final winner will be crowned via a nail-biting stand-up elimination as the last team standing takes it all.

Beyond the competition, this is a genuine opportunity to meet the 2026 WiCyS and Cybersecurity Society leadership teams, connect with La Trobe's academic & Cyber professional staff all in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

This event is perfect for you if you are:

• A La Trobe cyber or IT student looking to get involved in the community

• Curious about WiCyS or the Cybersecurity Society and want to meet the team

• After a fun, low-pressure way to test your cybersecurity knowledge
