This workshop focuses on equipping participants with actionable strategies for integrating Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) into teaching practices. Attendees will explore diverse WIL programs, identify their benefits and challenges, and examine innovative practices emphasizing inclusion. Through collaborative discussions, participants will develop practical approaches to align course activities and assessments with WIL initiatives, creating meaningful learning experiences for students and actionable plans to implement in their own contexts.  

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Recognize the prevalence and diversity of Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) programs across Canadian post-secondary institutions.  
• Identify the advantages of WIL for students, employers, and educational institutions, as well as the obstacles faced in implementing effective WIL programs. 
• Discuss with colleagues what course activities/assessment might work well for WIL  
• Reflect on opportunities for course activities/assessments to align with WIL initiative  
• Describe innovative practices and emerging trends in WIL, including the integration of technology and the emphasis on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
