Sun, 12 Oct, 9:30am - 12:30pm AEST

Event description

What I love about fermenting foods is that it’s a transformative life process, yet you don’t need a laboratory or fancy equipment. This Alchemical science experiment that tastes delicious has been practiced since ancient times and your home kitchen and some glass jars are really all you need once you have your initial ingredients.
Workshop energy exchange - 65 cash on the day please.

>> We will be making a traditional Sauerkraut from scratch, so you will see and feel the textures and the processes vital for a successful ferment, and even get to take a small jar of it home with you.

>> PLUS - How to turn your traditional Sauerkraut into a Honey Kraut YUMM!!

>> PLUS - How to turn your traditional Sauerkraut into a Honey Kraut YUMM!!

>> How to make your own Honey Fermented Garlic not only delish but perfect to help prevent those lurgies and sniffles that lurk about this time of year.

>> How to make Fermented Fruit with Honey and Apple Cider Vinegar which is a delight to add to your Yoghurt, baking, icecream...

>> How to make MET Drizzle Syrup from honey, tumeric and ginger, the whole family will want to drizzle this on everything!!

>> How to make your own Villii (Finnish Yoghurt) and Greek Yoghurt two of the easiest and yummiest and mildest yoghurts around. I will be giving away a Villii starter to all attendees who want some.

>> How to make a Farmhouse Cheese

>> AND Lacto-fermented Apples - cultured pectin found in apples has been proven to help with weightloss, improving bowel health and even dissolving the effects of EMF radiation.

This workshop is size limited as I am holding it at my home, (I am now tired of lugging all the stuff needed to and from other locations).
So each workshop will be strictly limited to ONLY 6 participants but I will start a 'wait list' of attendees for other workshops.

PLEASE BRING: a notepad and pen to jot down any notes you want to take - all recipes will be given out to you in the workshop handout.
Something yummy for morning tea - I will have plenty of herb teas, black tea and coffee.
One or two small jars (200-300ml ONLY) to take home a sample of the Sauerkraut we will be making and some Villii starter if you want some.
