The yearly Wild Art Walk is back! Enjoy a beautiful fall walk and take in a variety of art along the way. Sculpture, site-specific work, paintings and more are displayed along the beautiful 3km Milburn Creek Nature Trail loop in Battersea, just north of Kingston.

DATES:
Month-Long Exhibit -- October 1st to 31st. Free to Walk anytime.

One-Day Exhibit -- October 3rd 10sm-4pm, As part of Battersea Pumpkin Festival, more art will be displayed on this one day only on the first section of the trail near Pumpkinfest grounds.

PLUS NEW SPECIAL EVENTS THIS YEAR!

We are excited to announce two new events this year that we are able to offer with the support of a South Frontenac Community Grant.

Community Art Workshop -- September 19th 9:30 or 1pm. at Battersea United Church Hall. Learn new skills from Joanne Gervais, a talented and skilled artist. Create your own piece of work to be combined with everyone else's to form one single community-made mosaic-style art piece to be displayed at the month-long exhibit.

Full Moon Forest Bathing Walk ---October 25th 5:30 pm at the Trail head behind United Church. Join Certified Nature Therapy Guide Claire Beach for an immersive Forest Bathing experience beginning at dusk and continuing beneath the rising light of the Full Moon. Free. Limited enrolment.

ABOUT THE TRAIL: The area of and around the Milburn Creek Nature Reserve is the traditional territory and current homelands of many Indigenous Nations and communities, including Haudenosaunee, Wendake-Nionwentsio and Mississauga peoples. Nature Conservancy Canada now own and maintain this nature reserve and maintain it along with local volunteers.

LOCATION Of TRAIL: Start either from the trailhead on Battersea Rd across the street from the Ball Diamond (5167 Battersea Rd), or behind the Battersea United Church (2219 Wellington St.)

LENGTH AND TERRAIN: The Milburn Creek trail is a 3km loop. It ranges from flat and easy to moderately uneven and hilly terrain. Length to walk varies depending on many factors but 40 minutes to an hour is an average time. It is a few minutes on the road to get back to the other trailhead.
