🌿 Celebrate in nature with us 🌿
Named after the iconic Australian Banksia, this group symbolises resilience, growth, and a deep connection to nature. Like the Banksia, which thrives in tough conditions and grows strong roots, our children are building strength, exploring their potential, and developing their unique, vibrant connection with the natural world. 🌱
✨ Here’s what they’ll experience:
- 🧗♀️ Nature Play & Adventure: Explore the outdoors with hands-on activities like slack lines, pulleys, and monkey swings—helping develop strength, balance, and teamwork.
- 🌳 Bush Walks & Exploration: Wander through the park, discovering new plants, animals, and seasonal changes, encouraging curiosity and connection to the environment.
- 🎨 Crafting & Nature Art: Use materials found in nature to create art, from leaf rubbings to building structures with sticks—perfect for nurturing creativity.
- 🌾 Free Play in Nature: Plenty of time for free play, where children are encouraged to explore their environment independently, guided by the natural flow of their curiosity.
- 👩🏫 Facilitated by a qualified educator: While the children are free to explore, your facilitator Emma is there to guide, support, and inspire, ensuring a safe, enriching environment for all.
- 🌱 Seasonal Learning: Activities that follow the rhythms of the seasons, teaching children about growth cycles, weather patterns, and the interconnectedness of nature.
💚 Wild Folk Banksias is all about nurturing growth, resilience, and a deep connection to the natural world, empowering children to explore, create, and thrive in nature. 🌟
Important Legalities & Responsibilities
Please note that Wild Folk Banksias is not a drop-off program. Parents or guardians are responsible for their child/ren at all times during the session. While our educators facilitate activities and guide the children’s explorations, the safety and wellbeing of each child remains with their parent or guardian.
- Supervision: Parents/guardians must stay present and engaged throughout the program, ensuring their child is supervised during all activities.
- Active Participation: We encourage parents to actively participate in the program, joining in with activities, supporting their child’s learning, and fostering a sense of community.
- Safety: While we strive to provide a safe environment, outdoor activities involve inherent risks. By attending, parents acknowledge these risks and agree to remain responsible for their child’s safety.
Your involvement and support help create a nurturing and enriching experience for everyone. We look forward to sharing the adventure together! 🌿
