Description

Songs for the Future

Wild Imaginings is a gathering of artists, activists and changemakers sharing bold ideas for the future of the Northern Rivers — through story, music and collective dreaming.

This time, we're writing a song about it. Together.

Tonight is about this place: the land under our feet and the future we want for it. First we'll ground ourselves here. Then we'll imagine what's possible — and write a song about it as one room. And then we'll meet some of the people already bringing that future into being, and find out how we can back them through the Seed Giving Circle.

A few of the amazing offerings for the evening are below- with more to announced soon!

🌿 Body as Country — Mitch King and Tess Eckhart -grounding in our bodies, a meditation on place and an Acknowledgement of Country

Imagine — the Human Sound Project: a song for our place

The Human Sound Project has spent more than 12 years helping communities write songs about their values, vision and purpose. Making music together connects us.

Tonight, you'll help us write a love song for the Northern Rivers and the future we want for this place. The verses and the music are already written — we need you to write the chorus and bring it all together. With Carmen Stewart sharing the Imagine Northern Rivers data, Simon Jankelson, Benja Roberts (Singing Dingo Choir) the band and Body as Country, the room will write the chorus line by line, learn it, then perform and record the whole song as one.

No experience needed — just bring your voice.
