Event description

A Wild Love for the Earth... ... an invitation to a Deep Ecology exploration group

"If the world is to be healed through human efforts, I am convinced it will be by ordinary people, people whose love for this life is even greater than their fear " ― Joanna Macy

Do you have a wild love for the Earth that you would like to share with like-hearted people?

  • Are you overwhelmed at the current social and environmental crises?
  • Would you like to explore Deep Ecology practices and cultivate ecological awareness?
  • Would you like to transform confusion and despair into transformative collaborative & collective action?

If your answer is YES, you are invited to join us in a series of gatherings based on “The Work that Reconnects” by Buddhist scholar, activist and Deep Ecology teacher Joanna Macy. Each gathering will include group work, time alone in nature, and interactive exercises designed to foster connection and the skills needed to take part in the healing of our world.

The intention is to form a Deep Ecology group with participants committed to participating each month. This is the first gathering. We will also have open gatherings in March and April, and then, as a collective, decide how the group will function going foward into the rest of the year and beyond.
