Wild Swans Ballet Holiday Workshops

Join us for an in-depth exploration of the Wild Swans Ballet Suites, featuring a composition workshop on 8th October. This event includes intensive workshops for young musicians. Professional musicians from Musicáno Fusion Ensemble will guide the sessions, culminating in a joint rehearsal. We'll prepare for a flash mob performance at Sydney Town Hall on 12th October, raising awareness for the Wild Swans Ballet, which will be performed at Town Hall in November.

Participants will work on all pieces from the Wild Swans Ballet Suites. We are also excited to welcome Craig Woodward, Head of Music from Trinity Exam Board NSW and Mena Music, who will lead a beginner composition workshop. Leo Novikov, concertmaster of the Musicáno Fusion Ensemble, will be available for tuition for young musicians throughout the day.

Workshop Schedule

1-–3pm: Individual and session rehearsals with instrumental tutors, and professional musicians

3-4pm: composition workshop with Craig Woodword or Wild Swans Theme activities with Maxwise Academy (breaks in between)

4-5pm: QVB flash mob routine run-through and gathering

Private individual tuition is available as an additional purchase.

Maxwise themed leisure activities during the day could be:

- Painting

- Indoor basketball

- Cake baking

- Fun lego violin workshops
