Wildflower Wonderland Walkabout
Event description
Step into Tumut State Forest for a relaxed wander and discover what makes this woodland's understorey so special. Spring is a time of colourful blooms and some not so colourful with intriguing plants around every bend.
We will chat about how all these species fit together, explore simple ways to help them thrive, and even try out a bit of citizen science as a group.
Enjoy the sights, sound and feel of the bush, meet some friendly faces, and leave with a newfound appreciation for the natural world right on our doorstep.
Meet at the Tumut Mountain Bike Park car park for a 2pm start
Bring a water bottle, sturdy footwear the tracks are very uneven surfaces
Don’t forget binoculars no doubt we will see some birds as well.
Also be sun and mozzie safe!
