Wildlife Food Bank Planting Day

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Wollondilly Shire Council is partnering with WIRES and local wildlife carers to establish a wildlife food bank at Tahmoor park.

We are planting 500 trees, shrubs and ground covers to provide local wildlife carers with a safe, easily accessible and sustainable food source for native animals in rehabilitation.

We’d love you to join us and help establish this valuable resource.

Come along, get your hands dirty and learn about the plants and how they will help wildlife in care.

This is a free event and everyone is welcome!

Light refreshments will be provided on the day.

Please remember to wear sturdy shoes, a hat, long sleeves, and long pants, as well as bring your own gloves (we can supply gloves if needed) and a water bottle.

Wollondilly Shire Council is looking to establish a volunteer Bushcare group in the area.

If you can’t make it to the tree planting event and would like to express your interest in the Bushcare group, please contact us at bushcare@‌wollondilly.‌nsw.gov.au.
