This is an opportunity to be immersed in the art. Live music up close, in a space where the boundaries between artist and audience dissolve. For stories to be told and connection felt.

Parking
Limited parking on the property. Parking will be along Sheppersons Lane. We ask that people drive down past Living Valley Health Retreat, turn around and park facing the main kin kin rd on one side of the road. Wildlight is a short walk across the main road and up our driveway.

This event is age 12+ due to space we have to limit capacity and ticket sales. It is also a quiet and intimate listening environment. Where we respect the musicians and minimal talking / chatter during performances.
Seating
Bring a cushion for floor seating. There will be some cushions, couches and chairs available and prioritised for elders and those that can't sit on the floor.
Capacity
There is strictly limited 55 tickets and this event will sell out. Due to space restrictions there wont be any extra tickets available once capacity has been reached.
Food and Drink
There will be some food available for sale on the night (vegan and gf options) and some non alcoholic beverages. Bring cash or bank deposit on the night.
BYO drinks allowed, if alcohol is consumed to be done respectfully.

Katie Milae
Katie Milae is an Australian Sunshine Coast artist carving out a distinctive space between folk, soul, blues and Americana. Originally from Adelaide and raised in Darwin’s outback, Milae spent her childhood and young adult years in the Northern Territory before travelling extensively throughout her twenties. Her music—desert soul-stirring Americana—draws heavily on a life shaped by movement, emotion, travel and a strong connection to place. The sound is organic and expansive, built around warm acoustic instrumentation, earthy rhythms, soulful and sweet melodies and Milae’s unmistakable, unique voice: rich, resonant and powerful, with an ability to move effortlessly between vulnerability and intensity. Over the past several years, Milae has established herself as a compelling live artist, independently developing a career that has taken her across Australia and internationally. She has travelled more than 10,000 kilometres on tour this year alone, independently booking and managing performances across multiple states, from major festivals and established venues to regional towns and intimate grassroots shows. Her growing live credits include opening for Ash Grunwald, David McCredie and Rod Coote, alongside appearances on festival line-ups featuring John Butler, Kasey Chambers and Busby Marou, among others. In August 2026, Milae released ‘Darlin’, the first single from her forthcoming debut album. Written seven years earlier and performed live throughout her Australian touring years before its release, the track introduces a broader, more developed sound for the artist—combining experimental Americana instrumentation and driving organic percussion with a deeply soulful vocal performance. Within three weeks of release, Darlin’ surpassed 12,000 streams, adding to more than 100,000 Spotify streams across her catalogue. The release marks the beginning of a significant new chapter for Milae. Following another single in November 2026, her debut album is set for release in 2027, followed by her first European tour. From Darwin to the Sunshine Coast, and from thousands of kilometres of Australian roads to an international stage, Katie Milae is building a career defined by strong songwriting, an unmistakable voice and a clear artistic identity.
Shannon 'Sol' Carroll and Oj Newcomb
Shannon Carroll and OJ Newcomb share a musical chemistry that first became apparent during a jam on a Herbie Hancock groove at a summer jazz clinic at Brisbane Conservatorium in 1995. Since then, their collaborations have taken them around the world with groups including Afro Dizzi Act, Band of Frequencies, and Low Pressure Sound System. Stylistically, they have written and recorded everything from Roots, Reggae, Dub, Drum’n’Bass, Hip Hop, West African Mbalax, Afrobeat, House, Breaks, Funk, Soul, Blues, Psychedelic Rock, and Folk, as well as jam band fusions of all the above. Alongside a swag of albums, their discography includes numerous surf film soundtracks and collaborative activism projects. The TransparentSea Voyage was one such project, in which Shannon and OJ co-wrote 23 songs in 23 days as they travelled with a group of surfers and artists kayaking down the Californian coastline, highlighting the work of grassroots environmental groups working to mitigate human impacts on ocean ecosystems. As session musicians, they have performed with many well-known artists. OJ played with the John Butler Trio, Xavier Rudd, and Robert Randolph, and Shannon played guitar with Bernard Fanning and The Resin Dogs, to name a few. In recent years, OJ has co-developed the award-winning Yama-Nui Recording Studios and launched Yama-Nui Records. Shannon has graduated with a Master of Creative Arts and is a course coordinator at the University of the Sunshine Coast. In September 2026, both Shannon and OJ were voted onto the board of the Sunshine Coast Music Industry Collective, a group of industry volunteers working to develop the local scene through events such as the Sunshine Coast Music Awards. Playing in duo format, Shannon and OJ will perform chilled acoustic versions of songs from their extensive catalogue and tell the stories behind them.
