Join us for the 5th Annual Wildwood Running PDX Clinic in Portland, Oregon, on December 12–13, 2025. This 1.5-day clinic is designed to support and empower coaches working with young female distance runners. Our clinic delves into the multifaceted aspects that contribute to an athlete's success.
Sessions will cover essential topics such as the role of the coach, building a positive team culture, fostering a growth mindset, nutrition, coaching the individual within a team, female physiology, and more. You'll leave with actionable strategies and insights to enhance your coaching approach and better support your athletes.
Our speaker lineup includes:
Dr. Trent Stellingwerff – Chief Performance Officer at the Canadian Sport Institute Pacific, specializing in physiology, nutrition, and female athlete performance.
Dr. Morgan Smith – Postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University, focusing on resistance training, neuromuscular fatigue, and the menstrual cycle's impact on performance.
Dr. Julie McCleery – Co-Director of the UW Center for Leadership in Athletics, with expertise in sport leadership and coach development.
